Working Groups
Working
Groups form the focus for EWPM activities in three key areas.
Working Group members develop EWPM policy in these areas and
bring recommendations to members for approval:
- Working Group – Efficacy
This group develops EWPM policy on procedures for the assessment of
efficacy of active substances and the performance of
preservative formulations emerging from European Standard
(CEN) committees and European Commission-led development of
directives and regulations affecting biocidal and
construction products.
- Working Group – Risk Assessment
This group develops EWPM
policy on procedures for assessment of the safety and
environmental impact of active substances and formulations
for wood preservation being prepared by the European
Commission with its member states on the regulation of biocidal products.
- Working Group – Communication
This group develops EWPM policy on relations and information exchange with members, European industry bodies, National bodies, the European Commission and the public.|
- Working Goup - Termites
This group develops EWPM policy on procedures for assessment of the safety and
environmental impact of products and procedures, including termite barriers, for
the prevention and treatment of termite infestations in buildings. It prepares
advice for members on regulatory measures implemented by the European Commission
and Member States in respect of active substances, formulations and articles for
termite control and prevention.
